As we approach this holiday season, we decided to do “Holiday Activity” for those who attend in-person lessons.
Many schools in the US have started all remote learning recently. It took us a long time to decide whether we should do this kind of activity or not. However, we believe our one-to-one teaching environment is safe enough as long as we follow the state guidelines.
As much as we are sorry for those who are quarantined at this moment, we hope to bring cheer and smiles to as many students as possible.
Please provide your child a well fitting mask while he/she attend our in-person lessons to protect others and us.
Every activity lends itself to English learning😊. We really enjoy seeing how our students grow from hands on learning.
We spent our Saturday and Sunday building and preparing our vegetable beds. We’re excited to use these to add another dimension to our lessons.
Farm Stay2018 started on 7/21. For this session, the biggest thing we worried about was “rain”….
Good thing we were very flexible with our activities and kids were so up to everything we scheduled. We ended up doing pretty much everything we planned to do!
We love the feeling that everyone starts to open up and be themselves to soak up the new experiences. By the end of the program, we were just like one big family. Even the Amish were surprised to see such a big family!
A student from Japan promised to come back as she headed back to Japan with a lot of great memories today.
We are looking forward to starting the next session on 8/1! We’ll organize and update all of the pictures and details after both sessions are finished! So please stay tuned!!
We get to introduce a whole new world to 10 of our great friends.
We are so thrilled that both Schedule A & B sessions of Mattison Farm Stay are full! I can’t wait to show and teach them all about nature, wildlife, American culture and natural foods!
On the 1st day of April, we had our first orientation for “Mattison FARM STAY 2017!”
The five students we chose from the many that applied came with their excitement.
For the first time for them to meet each other, we had an ice breaker game “Get to Know Each Other” and went over the details of the program.
The kids went home with smiles on their faces and an envelope of documents to sign.
We were very pleased to hear from many people and families who are interested in our “Farm Stay 2017” . And regret that we can’t take all of them with us this summer.
Hopefully this program will grow in the future.
We’ll continue planning to make this program super exciting and update for all to see!
殆どが初対面のこの日はお互いを知るための”Get to Know Each Other”というゲームをしたり、ファームステイアクティビティ内容などを話合いました。
